Who's behind Mamoon
Mamoon is built by Jan Drábek, a developer in Prague, Czech Republic. He writes the iPhone and Android apps himself, from the cry detection and the Wi-Fi camera connections to the night screen. Mamoon is being tested in real nurseries now and is coming soon to Google Play and the App Store.
What Mamoon stands for
- The video stays at home. Video and sound go over your Wi-Fi straight from camera to phone. No server, no account, no e-mail.
- No new hardware. The camera is an old phone, or a Wi-Fi camera you already own, such as a TP-Link Tapo.
- It wakes you for the right things. It recognizes crying on the phone itself and tells it apart from a dog, a door or the washing machine.
- It never pretends. When Mamoon can't hear, the screen turns gray and alerts you within 20 seconds. It never shows "Calm" when it doesn't know.
- Honest comparisons. Our comparison pages say where other monitors are better, and every figure has a source.
