The cloud or your Wi-Fi
Nanit works over the internet: the camera streams to the cloud and the app plays it from there, which is why you can watch from anywhere and keep a video history. The cost is an account, a dependency on the internet, and your baby's video on a company's servers.
Mamoon does the opposite. The video goes over your home Wi-Fi straight from camera to phone, with no server and no account, and it keeps working when the internet is down. Away from home you connect through the Tailscale VPN.
Breathing and sleep
This is where Nanit is stronger. With Breathing Wear it tracks breathing motion, and its paid plans analyze sleep. Mamoon doesn't track breathing and isn't a medical device. In the morning it does show the whole night on one line: every sound, every cry and every minute it couldn't listen.
